The children were blessed, the adults were fed and one woman who came to the church for the very first time gave her heart to the Lord. She has since made our church her home along with her daughter. We love it when a visiting ministry results in lasting fruit for our church family.
Harold has a shepherd's heart and an evangelist's zeal. I have always believed that the best evangelists are the ones who understand the pastor's calling and are able to fit their ministry to meet the local vision. In this way the five-fold ministry gifts work together to equip the saints instead of confusing the saints. Harold's pastoral experience gives him an advantage in ministering in a church where there is a need for a support team to come in and build on what God is already doing.

We have been blessed the last two years at our Contemporary Christian Ministry Camp at Erie Beach to have the children’s ministry of “As for Me and My House”. The Mordens do an excellent job of providing Scripture based interactive activities for the children, for two and ½ hours each day. They captivated the children and adults present with songs, games, and other activities. This year we asked them if they would be interested in doing the praise and worship in the morning family sessions. They willingly accepted and did a wonderful job of inviting the Holy Spirit to be present!
We have been blessed by their ministry and by their very presence on the campground. They also provide resources like books, movies, & CD’s that are Christian based. We have enjoyed their ministry so much that we have asked them to come back next year and they have accepted. We look forward to this time when they can share with us. They are always coming up with new ideas that are innovative and interesting. We praise God for the ministry He has gifted them with!

As For Me and My House -- The Morden Family -- were with us for our Promotion Sunday in September 2009. As always, their ministry was appreciated by young and old. There was something for everyone. The children loved the puppets and story, and the quiz reinforced the lesson. The program moved along quickly so there was no time for anyone to get bored. Cheryl is a master story teller and Harold and Alyssa's music is great. The Dowel Rod presentation is a highlight of the program -- very creative and mesmerizing.
The Gospel message comes through very clearly. We always look forward to their visits and I would highly recommend their ministry!

Dear Ministry Colleagues,
We had 'As For Me And My House' come and minister in one of our Sunday morning services. Harold and Cheryl Morden and their three children took the entire service for us, incorporating worship, special music, 'dowel drama', puppets and preaching. Interesting PowerPoint and DVD presentations were included. It was a family style service. We asked Harold to bring his Christian book, music and DVD Resources as well, to help in the encouragement of spiritual growth and discipleship of our church family.
Our church particularly appreciated the music, drama, preaching and resources. Harold spoke a timely message from the Scriptures with good visual and audio use. Our people were blessed by it!
If you are considering them coming for ministry, I'm sure that the areas I've mentioned will encourage your people as well. God's peace and grace to you!

"I directed a Christian family camp this past summer and had the "As for Me and My House" ministry team come to the camp to do the children's ministry. They were absolutely amazing! They are such a wonderful family, and are so incredibly dedicated to children's ministry! The kids at camp really connected with them, and really had a great time!
This group is truly gifted with the ability to work with children, and the work that they put into everything is phenomenal- preparation, equipment, props, backdrop, puppets, live music, use of multimedia and the latest technology! Their daily themes and the way they taught and delivered Bible verses were so effective and a lot of fun for the kids!
From a directors point of view, the "As for Me and My House" team were a huge help; they were so reliable and flexible and accommodating- it made my job a lot easier! It was such a blessing to have them there! We have asked them to come to our camp again next year! I highly recommend this group to anyone looking for children's ministry! They are the nicest people you'll ever meet!"

In God's economy, there is no such thing as LUCK. We have just completed our sixth and most successful Vacation Bible School. We owe it all to the Grace of God and the discovery of a family of diamonds in the rough in 2003. The five member Morden family is better known as 'AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE FAMILY MINISTRIES'.
As a brand new church in 2003, East London Anglican Ministries (ELAM) decided to "outsource" its' VBS. After discovering the Morden's business card at Creation Christian Book Store, ELAM contacted the Mordens and quickly received their accreditation and background material. ELAM took a leap of faith for the summer of 2004 and our prayers were answered far more than we asked or ever imagined.
We received a professional team of adults and young people who taught, charmed and delighted both ELAM staff and campers alike. With the assistance of their able associates, George and Benjamin (chimpanzee puppets) and a chorus of other hand-crafted puppets, the Word of God was uniquely taught by the whole Morden family in a variety of ways.
While Dad (Rev. Harold) works quietly in the background labouring as photographer/videographer and head cashier of the ever growing book and gift store, team leader Mom (Cheryl) and offspring Ethan, Alyssa, and Aden weave magical mysteries that captivate their audience and make the love of Christ come alive to young minds, some for the very first time. And coming full circle, oldest son Ethan has now written a book Mysteries of Faith #1 A Carnival Full of Riddles, which is sold in the Christian Book Stores.
Rev. Harold and his brother Bob came to two of our evening services to thrill us with their rich voices in song and worship. Their CD, “Something For Everyone” is also available in their Store.
Over the years their acting, puppeteering, musical and technical skills are becoming more effective and extremely professional. In fact, the Mordens took a leap of faith themselves the past two summers by creating and producing their own unique programs: 'Quest for the Missing Armour - Discovering the Armour of God' and 'Get Fruit' dealing with the fruit of the Spirit. They were award winning performances! Parents told us of their children's first encounter with Jesus through these VBS's. In fact, parents began staying to watch the worship and drama segments and participated in the rest of the programs. Some of these parents now have registered their children for our Church school and plan to attend our services.
A record number of DVDs recording the week's events were sold. They were photographed by Rev. Harold and edited/produced by Ethan.
In addition to honing their on-stage craft, the team has improved their technology by using power point presentation for both music and teaching. The DVD of the weeks' activities, made available on the last day of VBS also includes an additional feature, a DVD-Rom that enables the kids to create their own pictures using themes and characters from the week’s lessons. They also used interactive video-feed to introduce one of their newest character puppets, Professor Von James. George and Benjamin, perennial favourites, made themselves available during performance breaks much to the delight of all the campers.
We cannot praise this Ministry team enough and like to bill ourselves as their #1 Fan Club.

My family and I, and our daughter Jennifer's young friends had a wonderful time at V.B.S. in August! The Morden's lessons were both Biblically educational and quite entertaining. The `My House` team were able to get the attention of everyone there including the youth and the adults.
It was very refreshing to see a whole family involved in the production and presentation of their material. We truly enjoyed the Mordens and hope that they will return to our church! They not only do great work for our Lord Jesus Christ, but it is also evident that He is in their lives.

WOW! What can I say?? How amazing is this ministry!
We just spent a week with the Morden family and their "adopted family" at
WATERWORKS PARK. Actually, it was a VBS they put on at our church, but it felt
like we were actually someplace else.
They welcomed us as family, as we welcomed them as our own as well. We love Cheryl's messages and the fun ways she gets the kids attention, and keeps it! She has a heart for Jesus and a heart for the kids. (Someone I look up to, as I have the same heart!) I want to thank Ethan and Alyssa for your part in the ministry as well. WOW! What a talented family. The way they bring their characters to "life", and quickly switch to another role, and how they interact with kids (& adults), and share God's love through music and puppets is beyond compare! THANKS also to Ethan for a great DVD memory of our week! Our lil' buddy Aden was also an amazing part of the team, and he also joined our kids in the sports and the crafts. What a sweet heart he has for other kids to come to know Jesus like he does. Pastor Harold
was working behind the scenes most of the time, however we know he is a man of integrity through another time that we had his family minister to us at our Outdoor Service and Picnic this past summer.
As the usual VBS Director/ Children's ministry Team Leader at our church, I would totally recommend this ministry to others. We still had some work to do with Sports/Games, Crafts and Snack, but it was great not having to work on so much for the main part... WOW!
The other ministries are wonderful too... A JACK OF ALL TRADES ministry. I love the Dowel rod ministry with "Sticking Together", and of course the singing and worship with "In Exchange" and Pastor Harold's anointed preaching! I will wear my new "As For Me And My House" t-shirt with pride!
I would love it if they would have a seminar/workshop on PUPPET MINISTRY and MUSIC LEADING, for kids and teens (& adults) to make them more comfortable with doing it. I know I would love to attend this as well!

I just wanted to take a moment to say `thank you` again to you and your family for an excellent week of March Break Vacation Bible School and Sunday Ministry. I have already been in a couple homes where the children were listening to the DVD of the week that Ethan produced. It was exciting to hear them singing along with the songs, doing the actions, etc.
I want to commend Cheryl for her excellent way of leading the children to Christ as their Saviour. There was no high pressure or manipulation; just a plain presentation of the gospel and simply asking the children if they would like to receive Jesus as their Saviour. I'm sure that the parents appreciated the fact that their children were not being coerced or manipulated in any way.
Sunday morning, your family presented excellent music by `In Exchange` that offered something for all ages, followed by an excellent message by Harold.
May the Lord continue to bless your ministry. Keep up the good work!

When Pastor Harold Morden and his family came to minister to us and our people, I must say that they touched the hearts of all! The worship and special music by their vocal group `IN EXCHANGE`, the dramatic presentations by their dowel rod team `STICKING TOGETHER`, their family friendly children's ministry (which the adults loved just as much as the kids), and Pastor Harold's passionate, Biblical preaching ministered to all ages. It made me think of the Apostle Paul's statement that he was not guilty of not preaching the whole Gospel.
We felt ministered to in ALL areas of need and left that night having been drawn closer to the goodness and love of God. We want to thank `AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE' for such a wonderful and anointed evening. We welcome them back to our Saturday Night Alive program at any time!

The Morden family were certainly a blessing to our Church recently. They provided excellent special musical numbers (by their vocal band `IN EXCHANGE`)followed by a very timely message by Rev. Harold Morden. During a conversation later, I told Harold that his message was well prepared
and presented and could just as easily have been preached to a thousand people and be
well received.
His wife Cheryl took the children along with some of our staff for Kid’s church during the message, then after the service met with our children’s workers to give us some wonderful help in preparing for a Vacation Bible School during the March school break.
I am pleased to recommend this family to your church, large or small. Their teen-age children work with them using multi-media presentations, puppets etc. to convey the gospel message to the children. They will be back with us soon to conduct the March Break Vacation Bible School. We look forward with anticipation of what the Lord will do during that week.
We need ministries like this that can move among our Churches and bring added blessing and encouragement to a congregation.

We really appreciated your ministry last Sunday. I heard many good comments. You certainly had something for everyone. I was particularly impressed that the 5 year old sitting in front of us was very quiet throughout the service. You managed to hold his attention. Your music (by `IN EXCHANGE`) appealed to a wide variety of people and I know that everyone enjoyed the puppets. Once again the Dowel Rods were captivating. I think you could have heard a pin drop--if there hadn't been music playing. Harold and Cheryl and family came to our single parent family retreat,
June 9,10,11 2006. This is a retreat which we hold each year for single
parent families who have attended Just Me & The Kids, which is a twelve
week ministry for single parent families held in churches across Canada.
Harold, Cheryl and their family ministered to the children from single
parent families at the retreat at the same time their parents were in
their sessions. The time which they were responsible for was an hour and
45 minutes and was four sessions during the weekend. I so appreciated
their Biblical content involving puppets, songs, Bible stories, and
activities. The children greatly enjoyed their time with the Morden
team! The children gained much insight that they could use in their
personal lives after they left the retreat. My personal contact with the
Mordens was a real encouragement to me. Their attitude of service to me
and the ministry was a real blessing. Harold and Cheryl and their
children are great to work with and minister with. They do their best to
help in whatever way they can. I highly recommend them to you and know
that they will bless you as they have blessed our single parent

When Harold Morden and his family were with us they did children's ministry on the Saturday evening and Sunday morning. They are capable in ministry, as they have been pastors for a number of years. They are able to share the message of the gospel with the children with puppets, songs, stories, etc.

The Morden family has been a blessing to our church in Blenheim. From January 2005 to May 2005 they oversaw our mid-week Kids' Program called T.N.T. (Tuesday Night Together) that ran around 45-50 kids. They were our interim midweek kid's program pastors. Harold and Cheryl have a real heart for ministry to children and have a servant's spirit. They connected well with both our leaders and the children, many who came from the community.
On the Sunday that we introduced our congregation to the Mordens, Harold preached a wonderful message on the importance of ministry to kids. Also, both he and his daughter Alyssa ministered beautifully in song. Cheryl has a wonderful way with children and presents the gospel in a very clear and effective manner that is at their level.
We also invited `My House` to do our Spring Break V.B.S. program last March. You will not be disappointed if you invite them to your church!

This afternoon I listened again to Harold's message, 'The Voice of Hope'. This is a message of the fullness of grace that the Church desperately needs to hear.

The Mordens ministered to the families of our church & community. Their organization, skills & discipline were impressive. There were about 6 who made decisions for Christ. Others were 'called' closer to God.

Your family are all growing up into such people of God. Your preaching always touches my heart and gives me the encouragement I need to keep going God's way. I had almost given up on praying for someone and God through you rekindled my need to keep praying.

Pleased and blessed are the words I have to describe the level of satisfaction felt after having As For Me And My House Family Ministries come to Calvary. They came as part of our new location Dedication Celebrations in October. Many good comments came from our people concerning the message on prayer that Harold spoke to us in the morning service-it confirmed what our leadership has been sensing. We were encouraged and inspired.
Harold, Bob and Alyssa sang in both the morning and afternoon services. The songs (from their newly released CD) were beautifully anointed. Their voices blend very well together and their range is awesome. They could give the 'Couriers' a run for their money!
Cheryl and their three children provided ministry to the children using various methods to get the message across and were very well received in both presentations. Our children were blessed.
We had a great day together and I would certainly recommend their ministry to any church needing encouraging ministry for the whole family.

We had Harold Morden and family to our church to do a "Family" type service. They blessed us with special music, puppets, games, and a family testimony. All of our children as well as their parents enjoyed the service. it is awesome to see a family of Mother, Father, children and other extended family minister together.

"We were blessed to have 'As For Me and My House Family Ministries' be a part of our Sunday service. The presentation was a family service for the entire church. The children and adults enjoyed the puppets, games, and music based on the Word of God. The Morden's were well prepared and ready for the morning. We enjoyed a time of prayer with the entire team prior to the service. I highly recommend this ministry to your church.

"I am writing to recommend the ministry of 'As For Me and My House'. Harold shared a solo that stirred the hearts of our congregation. He is a gifted and anointed singer. I regret not having him share more in song. Three members of the family performed a creative drama which was also well received by our people. Harold's message was timely and inspirational. He lingered at the altar to pray for and encourage people. I heartily recommend the ministry of the Morden family.

Once again let me say thank you for being with us. It was great to have you and it was wonderful to see our children so eager to participate. Emphasizing the music by using movement and dowel rods was very effective, and I think everyone was riveted to their seats. For me, that was probably the high point of the service. But everything else was great too. The puppets were very entertaining, but I think their message got through too. Cheryl, you have a great rapport with the children. Thanks also to Alyssa and Ethan for singing. You were great. Harold you have a beautiful voice and the song was great. The service was very entertaining and inspirational - something for everyone. Very well recieved. We really enjoyed having you and will want to have you back again!

"We enjoyed your ministry. When we came downstairs as Sunday School teachers we were pleasantly surprised. We loved the puppet show. It was wonderful that your family was involved with it. We liked how you presented the Word of God, telling the children about the faith of Abraham by showing sketches on the blackboard. We talked to some of the children after. They really enjoyed it and liked how you brought a game for them to participate in. We recommend your ministry to other churches, anyone who sees and hears your ministry will be truly blessed by it. The Lord gave me this scripture for you, it is Rom. 10:15 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things.'
