As a family of five we are available full time to be used in a variety of ministries for the whole family.  As well, Harold’s brother & sister-in-law, Bob & Diana Morden, travel with us on a part time basis when we are doing an extensive amount of music ministry. 

We are unique in that we offer three different types of ministry instead of just one.  We can be booked to do all three (for example a Sunday Service, etc.) or any combination of two or just one.  It is entirely up to you and what your church needs.  This feature can be a real benefit to a church/camp doing a conference/special meetings.  Instead of having to book two or three different ministries and in turn pay each of them, you can just book us to do everything  you need for just one price.  We don’t expect anything extra for doing more then one ministry at the same time.  Small church pastors love this feature.  When they go  away on holidays, instead of just having someone fill in for them, they can have a full blown special.  Here is what we have to offer:  

PREACHING & TEACHING:  Pastor Harold is known for his powerful, anointed Biblical preaching.  He also, conducts seminars on topics such as 'Biblical Marriages That Work'.  Cheryl is a gifted speaker available for ladies events.  She also conducts children's workers workshops and training seminars with assistance from Ethan and Alyssa (as well as some other friends who make surprise visits). 

MUSIC & WORSHIP:  Our vocal band 'IN EXCHANGE' leads worship and provides special music that is geared for the whole family.  Alyssa sings at ladies events when her mom is the guest speaker.  'STICKING TOGETHER' uses dowel rods, sign language, and short dramas in conjunction with music.  The results are amazing. 

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY:  We use a variety of methods, including puppets, characters, illustrated stories, drama, music, Bible memory and games.  Equipment such as our projector and notebook computer helps to make our presentations even more visually attractive.  Our programs are entertaining but Biblically relevant at the same time.  Even our games reinforce the Biblical truths that we are teaching.  We have started producing our own V.B.S. & Children’s Camp theme materials.  “The Quest for the Missing Armor” focuses on our spiritual armor as found in Ephesians 6.  "Get Fruit" focuses on the Fruit of the Spirit with secret agents  Zachary Sharpe - agent 96, agent 88, Chaim the robot, and the chief.  This program features a ten day curriculum.

We are available for Sunday services, Family/Children’s outreaches, Vacation Bible Schools, weeknight ministry, banquets, special church events, gospel concerts, camps, etc.  We also do pulpit supply.  Please see the FEEDBACK section of our website for numerous references on every aspect of our ministry.  Our home/office in Belle River, Ontario, Canada, is twenty minutes from Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan.

OUR JOURNEY & BACKGROUND

Harold Morden has been credentialed with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (Assemblies of God in the U.S.A.) since 1982.  He has been ordained since 1984.  Cheryl Morden has held a deaconess credential with the P.A.O.C. since 1984.  They both graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough (now Masters College & Seminary in Toronto). 

While pastoring, Harold and Cheryl felt a call to eventually become involved in a full time evangelistic traveling ministry.  Their vision was for their entire family to be involved.  After 21 years of pastoral ministry ‘As For Me & My House Family Ministries’ was born in July 2003.  ‘My House’ is an affiliated Itinerant Ministry of the Western Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada; however, we also minister in many other denominations/fellowships.  We believe that our ministry is a gift of God available to the whole Body of Christ. 

Throughout Harold’s twenty-eight years of full time ministry he has been lead pastor of three churches and associate pastor in two others.  His ministry has been in both the Western and Eastern Ontario Districts of the P.A.O.C.  God has also used him in music ministry.   As a drummer, Harold has played with a number of church worship bands over the years.  He traveled with the music group ‘The Hi-Way Singers’ as their lead singer for a number of years in the 1970’s.  In the years since then, Harold became an experienced soloist.  In 2003 he formed the trio ‘In Exchange’ in which he sings with his brother Bob and his daughter Alyssa.  ‘In Exchange’ is available for concerts and church services when requested and has released a CD ‘Something For Everyone’.  It has been received with good reviews.

Cheryl, a pastor’s daughter, has been in full time ministry for twenty-six years, serving in churches as the Director of Christian Education and as a pastor’s wife.  Her specialty is ministry to children; therefore she leads the Children’s Ministry emphasis of our ministry.  She was a Christian Education representative for the London Section of the P.A.O.C.  She has experience doing children’s meetings during Family Camps and planning many Vacation Bible Schools and outdoor children’s meetings.

All three of the Morden children have made and had training in the use of their own puppets.  Ethan (20 years old) is a gifted teacher who helps plan and direct our VBS & Camp programs.  As well, he is the editor of our ministry newsletter and website.  He is also a published author and produces wedding and special events DVDs. In February 2010, he spent the entire month ministering in India at a Christian orphanage for boys.  Alyssa (18 years old) is very talented musically.  She has done many solos and sings & leads worship with ‘In Exchange’.  For children’s ministry she is the altar ego of Suzie Scripture and Charles P. Longfellow.  Aden (14 years old) is in grade nine and is a natural comedian.  He runs the computer, plays Carl the Contractor, and assists Professor Von James during our children’s programs.  Home schooling of Aden gives us the freedom to plan, travel and minister full time.

Bob is a gifted song writer, singer, worship leader, guitarist and member of ‘In Exchange’.  Diana is a soloist and helps out where needed.  They reside in London, Ontario.

We would ask that you prayerfully consider inviting us to minister at your church, camp, etc.  We have no hard and fast financial fees, but rather trust that God will use you to bless us as He leads.  We can give financial guidelines when requested, but they are only guidelines. We do ask that at a minimum you cover our travel costs for long distance travel.

Our calling is to be used by God in any church, camp, or outreach event, regardless of how big or small!  We have ministered in Pentecostal, Assemblies of God, Nazarene, Presbyterian, United, Anglican, Christian Reformed, Congregational, Church of God of Prophecy, Worldwide Church of God, Evangelical Missionary, Gospel Crusade, Baptist, Community of Christ and a number of cultural churches such as German, Korean, Chinese, Romanian, African, Jamaican, etc.  We go wherever God opens a door for our ministry!
